Hola, I'm Ivonne.
I'm from Mexico, I live in Mexico City, and I hold a degree in Education. For over fifteen years I've taught at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico and in public and private elementary schools — children, teenagers, and adults. I'm also a certified English teacher, which means I know from the inside what it feels like to learn a language from zero.
I love teaching, traveling, jazz, and food from everywhere. Those things end up in my lessons — real examples, real conversations, and materials I choose because they're genuinely interesting, not because they came with a textbook.

What time zone are you in?
I'm in Mexico City (GMT-6). The booking calendar automatically converts every time into your own time zone, so just pick a slot that looks good to you — no mental arithmetic required.
Is the first chat really free?
Yes, completely. Thirty minutes, no payment, no obligation to continue. It's simply so we can meet properly, talk about what you want from Spanish, and see whether we work well together.
How do I pay for lessons?
By PayPal, directly to me. We'll sort out the details together after our first conversation — there's no platform in the middle and no commission.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Just let me know as early as you can, by WhatsApp or email, and we'll find another time. Life happens, and I'd much rather move a lesson than have you miss one.
Do I need to know any Spanish already?
Not a word. I work with complete beginners all the time, and plenty of my students started from absolute zero.
What do I need for a lesson?
A computer or tablet with Zoom, somewhere reasonably quiet, and a willingness to make mistakes out loud. I bring everything else.
Do you teach children?
Yes. I spent years teaching in elementary schools, and I have a lot of practice keeping younger students genuinely engaged.
Do you teach absolute beginners and advanced students?
Both. I adapt to the person in front of me — beginners get structure and patience, advanced students get real conversation, nuance, and the vocabulary they're missing.
